So excited to share our upcoming Halloween weekend events in San Francisco!

We’re gathering outdoors at Levi’s Plaza on the city’s North Waterfront, surrounded by lush gardens, parks, and open spaces designed by acclaimed landscape architect Lawrence Halprin. Opened as the headquarters of Levi Strauss & Co. in 1982, the campus has grown into a beloved community hub and gathering place for creative and innovative companies shaping the future. It feels like the perfect setting for us to spread out, enjoy the waterfront, and create some magic together.

We’re bringing two ways to gather at Levi’s Plaza this Halloween weekend: CAKE PICNIC on October 31 and COOKIE PICNIC on November 1. Come for one, come for both (sweet maxxing?!). Either way, it’s going to be a delicious Halloween weekend filled with cakes, cookies, costumes, and community. We will also be joined by our friends from the Vanilla Bean Project who will be bringing fun surprises to share with everyone.

Whether you come for cake, cookie, or both (!!!) I hope you’ll say yes to dressing up in costume, spending time outside, and celebrating the season together in the sweetest way possible.

I want to see all the flavors of the season: pumpkin spice, brown butter, toffee, salted caramel, chocolate, black sesame, kabocha, caramel apple, cinnamon everything, and more. Costumes are optional but highly encouraged! It is our first-ever Halloween CAKE PICNIC on the actual day so I feel like we must?! We will also be awarding fun prizes for the best “Sweet” and “Spooky” cake and feature them on Instagram. So bring your best fall bakes!

SF CAKE PICNIC (Fall Tour — Sweet and Spooky)

Bring a whole cake you're proud to share and join us with hundreds of fall-inspired cakes and thousands of slices. We're leaning into everything sweet, cozy, strange, nostalgic, and a little bit spooky this season with our optional theme: sweet and spooky.

  • When: Saturday, October 31, 11-1PM

  • Where: Levi’s Plaza, San Francisco

  • Tickets: CAKE PICNIC CLUB tickets available now. GA tickets will become available on September 20, 2026 at 6PM PST. Set your alarms!

  • Note: Cakes from Costco, Walmart, or Safeway will not be allowed at the event. Please support our wonderful local bakeries like Tartine, Loquat, Butter&, Bake Sum, and more. They make such delicious cakes and would love to be a part of your CAKE PICNIC day. Plan accordingly!

COOKIE PICNIC – Halloween

We’re celebrating cookies inspired by all things playful, nostalgic, mysterious, and a little bit haunted. Bring something charmingly spooky, wonderfully strange, beautifully autumnal, or simply filled with the cozy flavors you look forward to all year. Whether you love soft and chewy cookies, crisp shortbread, colorful macarons, jammy linzers, cookie bars, or elaborately decorated creations, there is room for every kind of cookie at our table. Everyone is required to bring 2 dozen cookies to share.

  • When: Sunday, November 1, 1-3PM

Are CAKE PICNIC and COOKIE PICNIC the same event? No — they're two separate events with their own ticketing and event agenda. You can get a ticket for either one or both. If you get tickets to both, please let me know here so we can celebrate! I’ve always dreamed of doing this sweet weekend and we’re finally making it come true. I hope you’ll be part of this inaugural group of friends!

Do I need two tickets if I want to do both? Yes. They are ticketed separately, so you'll need a ticket to each event if you want to do both.

COOKIE PICNIC is new to me! It’ll be fairly similar to CAKE PICNIC except instead of bringing a cake, you’ll be bringing 2 dozen of the same cookie type to trade/share with other attendees.

Does the "sweet and spooky" theme apply to both events? Yes! The theme is optional; if it inspires you, great! If not, please bring what you’re truly excited about!
