LA CAKE PICNIC

CAKE PICNIC is coming back to Los Angeles!

I know, I know. We’ve been waiting for this for MONTHS. It’s quite unreal that the list for LA is almost 12k. It’s so big that the Partiful page is so slow and doesn’t really load anymore ugh. It takes me 15 minutes to just load the page now… BUT! With the help of Tanya Flink we finally have a venue (!!!). Without Tanya, this would not be possible. Thank you so so much, Tanya! So, without further ado, the second LA CAKE PICNIC is finally happening!

The LA cake community is vibrant, inventive, and full of farm-to-cake magic. From fig leaf bakes and mushroom-decorated masterpieces to mile-long cakes and beyond, almost all of the cake trends we know and love trace their roots back to this city. Is anyone surprised? I’m not!

This year, we’re gathering again to bring all of the LA cake magic together in one place and time. Let’s celebrate cake, community, and creativity. Expect a feast unlike any other: a table overflowing with hundreds of cakes baked and shared by bakers from all over LA. Every cake tells a story and I can’t wait to taste them all with you. I know the LA CAKE PICNIC tables will be full of the most gorgeous, stunning, and delicious cakes we’ve ever seen.

Bring a whole cake (or more!), grab your friends, and get ready to join the picnic that has inspired a movement. This isn’t just a picnic. It’s a chance to be a part of theeeee cake festival in LA. Let’s build this cake heaven and buffet together!

For the love of all things cake,
Elisa

CAKE PICNIC is a gathering for the love of cake. It celebrates cake in all of its forms. It brings communities and friends together for the sole purpose of breaking cake and enjoying the following butter and sugar highs. To be surrounded by as many cakes as there are humans is definitely something special, right? It is a moment in time where we come together for something truly sweet. Every attendee brings a whole cake. It is a feast for the ages and you just have to be there.

If you are purchasing a ticket for a group, please note that you personally have to be at the event registration to activate your tickets. If you are not 100% sure you can be at the event for your group, please designate someone else to purchase your group tickets.

  • Due to park capacity, there will be two different sessions: morning and afternoon. Note that a ticket to each session only grants entry and participation into that session. Anything that feels special to you. We’ve seen everything from chiffon cakes, upside-down cakes, meringue cakes, trifles, buttercream-layered cakes, to family recipes passed down for generations. The cake you bring becomes part of the story we share that day. The most popular cakes have been: pistachio, chocolate, strawberry, passion fruit, guava, black sesame, Russian honey cake, and savory cakes. Several stunning cakes featured at the event have gone viral!

Important: We want to eat well. Please only bring cakes that you are absolutely excited about and would be proud to share with others. If you have never baked a cake before, you should practice baking several cakes before the event to prepare. If you aren’t inspired to bring the best cake that you can, this event is not for you.
