So excited to share our upcoming fall event in Los Angeles!
We’re heading to Santa Monica for a full day of movement, cake, and community by the water. I’m looking forward to a beautiful Southern California morning with ocean views, fresh air, and plenty of space to move, gather, and spend time together.
We’re bringing two ways to gather in Santa Monica on November 14: the CAKE PICNIC 5K in the morning and CAKE PICNIC in the afternoon. Come for one, come for both: start the day moving along the waterfront, then settle in for an afternoon surrounded by cake. I hope you’ll say yes to getting outside, meeting new friends, and creating a little magic together. Our friends from the Vanilla Bean Project and Halo Pantry will also be joining to add some fun moments along the way. You won’t want to miss this fall CAKE PICNIC day!
I want to see all the flavors of the season: pumpkin spice, brown butter, kabocha, apple cider, biscoff, toffee, salted caramel, chocolate, persimmon, caramel apple, cinnamon everything, and more! Bring your best fall flavors and let’s create a joyful afternoon picnic with hundreds of cakes.
See you soon,
Elisa

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Please read the CAKE PICNIC general FAQs here that covers ticketing, process, etc. If your question isn’t answered there or the below, please email elisa@cakepicnictour.com.
Are the 5K and CAKE PICNIC the same event? No — they're two separate events on the same day in Santa Monica. The 5K is a run/walk with a cake finish-line reward; CAKE PICNIC is our classic gathering where every attendee brings a whole cake. You can get a ticket for either one or both.
Do I need two tickets if I want to do both? Yes. The 5K and CAKE PICNIC are ticketed separately, so you'll need a ticket to each event if you want to do both.
Do I need to bring a cake for the 5K? No. The 5K only requires running shoes and your appetite; you don't need a whole cake to participate. You'll get a seasonal cake slice at the finish line instead.
If I only sign up for the 5K, do I still need to bring a cake to enter CAKE PICNIC afterward? Yes. A 5K ticket does not include CAKE PICNIC entry. If you want to stay for CAKE PICNIC, you'll need a separate CAKE PICNIC ticket and a whole cake, same as any other attendee.
Does the "sweet and spooky" theme apply to both events? The theme is optional and mainly for CAKE PICNIC cakes and costumes but feel free to lean into it for your 5K look too, but it's not required for either event.
Can I volunteer for the 5K, CAKE PICNIC, or both? Yes, absolutely and we’d love that. Submit the form here so we can reach out.
